Vital Organ Press (the publishing arm of Vital Organ Project) is issuing a call for scores to promote and celebrate new music for the pipe organ. The winning piece will:
be an original piece for solo pipe organ
have a maximum duration of 12 minutes
be either a single- or multi-movement piece; multi-movement works should be included as one submission
be playable on a wide variety of instruments
be unpublished and not yet premiered at the time of submission
optionally include the use of a pre-existing melody (provided that melody is in the public domain or the composer can produce a permission letter from the copyright holder),

The composer should be at least 18 and a U.S. resident at the time of submission.
Submissions will be anonymous and include a PDF of the score with no name or identifying marks. A recording (live or MIDI mockup) may be submitted but is not required.
The winning pieces will be performed in a series of concerts across the midwest and published under Vital Organ Press. Composers are encouraged but not required to attend the concerts.
